Sing for Absolution by: MUSE

My brother was the one who introduced this band to me. At first I was kind of... yeah another British band but when I heard and saw them performing live on YouTube... I was "Woah they rock!"

The song "Sing for Absolution" blew my mind away. This is the best MUSE song for me although it was kind of underrated and I don't know why. Anyway, enjoy the vid.

My Poetic Self...

At long last... new time... new post...

Since I recently quit my job, I have all the time to spent blogging myself up... and here's the newest post I'm gonna be making...

Anyway, it was one quiet night. I just thought of creating something up which will show you how much I would want to live in the 70's. I haven't even thought of a title yet for this piece and I was thinking of the hype machine...

Anyway... here it is...

Titleless

How’s it like to be living in the 70’s?
When life’s not too complicated and somehow at peace…
Everybody’s happy, wearing smile on their faces…
Saying Lord thank you for the graces…

How’s it like to grow up with the music of Seals and Crofts?
When melodies and lyrics are not that rough…
People like Todd Rundgren singing Hello It’s Me…
Beatles on the other hand performing Let it Be…

How’s it like to be singing with the Starland Vocal Band?
Genius people singing about love hand in hand…
David Gates’ composition Baby I’m A Want you…
America’s best song ever I Need You…

How’s it like to be Creedence Clearwater Revival?
No nonsense people singing for Vietnam War survival…
Your friend in a brown leather jacket smoking pot…
Is way better than that damn politician in a knot…

Oh how I wish I could switch places with my dad…
My mom too who experienced Neil Young’s fad…
70’s is the best music era for people like me…
Followed by 90’s but Cobain was stolen by death to soon to be…
